    Central control desk

    Location: Entrance hallway

    AKA: The fat controller's office

Function: Operations nerve centre for the McKinley Railway

    Computer screens: Multiple

Surveillance capability: Assume you're being watched at all times

Operators: Up to 3 techies who are always busy and don't like just love to be disturbed

The hub. Everything on McKinley Railway is controlled from here (although local control is permitted within stations). McKinley’s crack team of technical wizards monitor every aspect of the railway during operating sessions from the Control Centre, ensuring smooth and reliable running of trains around the main and branch lines, and into and out of stations.

While the senior operator keeps a eye on the TrainController software which runs all trains over the network, a second operator liaises with the station managers around the layout. Other team members are on hand watch the feeds from a battery of cameras which cover McKinley’s many subterranean levels, and troubleshoot if necessary.
